I also designed a web site for this client.

The logo for Banks Mountain Farm needed to fulfill several requirements. Most importantly, It needed to communicate immediately that they raise goats and dogs, but not just any kind of goats and dogs. They raise very specific kinds of goats and dogs for various reasons, and the logo needed communicate these breeds specifically. The logo also needed to function equally well for black and white printing situations, as much of their printed advertising is done locally.

Logos should always be as simple as possible. But in this case it was necessary to retain some details of the animals’ features so they would be instantly recognizable. I created two variations on the logo, because simply making the original grayscale would cause much of the detail to be lost, due to the colors that were used in the logo.
